My only gripe so far has been when they filmed the short tour of the Queen Mary the camera spun and shook so much I was almost sick and had to stop and take a breather! I should note that whilst I haven't followed every tweet from TH&G, I haven't had an issue with their direction or communication so far. I hope something similar might happen with the Honor and Glory team. In the end, despite some of the fan base becoming a bit alienated, and a very length development time, the team delivered an excellent end product that impressed everyone and all was forgiven. In the end the accused team coughed up their models for inspection and it turned out that there was no copying, just two teams building an asset based off the same reference material that ended up looking similar. Unfortunately the accusation was made public and a very messy spat ensured. In my opinion they perhaps could have had better communication with their fan-base, and an issue involving alleged stolen models was raised against another team building similar assets.
#TITANIC HONOR AND GLORY DEMO 3 HELP MOD#
I remember something similar happening with a Half-Life 2 mod I was following a few years back. I don't wanna cause any dramas on this thread, and I don't wanna cause any troubles to the team so it's probably my last post on this thread. H&G decided to control informations in a way I don't like and for me the team shoot themselves in the foot To be honnest investors are certainly not interested about only the modleing that's why the team won't change their mind. In my opinion if they continue in that stubborn way the project will be ruined soon especially if they don't find investors or maybe they act that way to seduce them, to show them they can do what they have promised which I highly doubt. I don't want to wait like 3 or 4 more years, so I won't follow this project anymore cuz it confirms what I'm afraid of. Maybe the team don't want to lose money on contributions through their website once they said the modeling is done and being harassed by fans to release a tour mode, dramas are coming for sure ahha, I can understand that. That's a huge mistake because lot of people are only interrested about the modeling. They are also afraid about people who could steal their 3d models but once the final project is done they wont be able to avoid that problem.

We haven't even considered these yet in our budget! We have many more expenses we will need to cover in the future to make sure the game can get into the hands of gamers everywhere. So it seems they have decided to not give us informations about their progress anymore because they don't want to release the tour mode first.

But we have some unique ones from time to time! Research and archivals to be purchased, plugins and blueprints from the Unreal Marketplace, and Discord boosts for our special Patrons "Officers" chat area. Thank you for your interest in a monthly subscription to our Patreon! But guess what - we have a lot of our own subscriptions to pay too! AutoCAD and other modeling licenses, game-design programs like Hack n Plan and Substance Painter, and many others from WeTransfer, Adobe, ConstantContact, and even our PO Box!Īny business has lots of standard costs that they must cover, and we're no different. Many hours are being put into the game now, and if we can help the team suitably, more work can be done! Many of us are still volunteering, but some must be compensated and paid for their commitment. We couldn't hire others (and fully pay them) until we were funded - or so we thought. This has been while we've had full-time jobs, attended university, or worked on other projects to support ourselves. So, where might your money and the store income be going? Let's break it down that way you totally understand before you help us out.įor the years we have been working on THG, many of us have been volunteering. Our Patreon isn't our first rodeo - we have held two IndieGoGo campaigns, have been asking for contributions for years, and have a store! Many people need to be paid, hardware replaced if broken, fees, taxes, insurance, and other costs need to be covered.

You probably have guessed that it is not cheap to create a game.
